The advice on this website is designed to help snowsport beginners get more from their first trips.
Since I qualified as a British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) Alpine Ski Instructor,I have worked in the Swiss, Italian and Austrian Alps, America and at a real snow slope in the UK.
I have taught beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. I have also gained tips from other instructors and snowsport enthusiasts and their contibution is acknowledged here.
Many clients have had some advice before they arrive but some of it is misguided or ignored and this site offers basic advice on how to make your snowsport trip more rewarding.
The experience has been accumulated over many years of recreational and instuctional skiing. It is NOT the instruction you will get at ski school but lots of advice I wish I had received earlier that would have made many trips with schools, family and friends better.
When you need this snowsport advice.
Most of this advice is for before your first trip.It also covers your first ski lessons and when you go out on the marked pistes and trails yourself with your friends.
It briefly touches on some off-piste tips but you should get full and proper guidance before venturing off the marked ski runs.
There are many aspects to a ski holiday and certain companies specialize in paerticular clients.
